Shinigami ID is an online comic reading platform for Indonesian readers. Its catalogue holds Japanese manga, Korean manhwa and Chinese manhua, all translated into Indonesian. You can read in the browser on your phone or laptop, or with the companion app on Android.

How to Download and Install Shinigami APK on Android
Shinigami ID is not on the Google Play Store, so you install it from the APK file on this page. The full process takes about one minute and you only do it once. Follow the six steps below in order and the app will be on your phone, ready to open.
What You Need

Tap the Download APK button
Stay on this page and tap the green Download APK button. The file starts downloading right away. When it is done, a small note at the top of the screen says File downloaded, with the file name Shinigamiidwebv.1.1.4.com.apk.
Open the downloaded file
Tap Open on that note. You can also open your browser menu, go to Downloads, and tap the file name there. Both ways open the same installer screen.
Tap Install
Android now asks, Do you want to install this app? Tap Install and wait a few seconds. If your phone first asks for permission to install from the browser, tap Allow or open Settings from that prompt, turn on Allow from this source, go back, and tap Install again.
If Play Protect appears, tap Install anyway
On many phones Google Play Protect shows a message that says App blocked to protect your device. This is normal for apps that are installed from outside the Play Store. The message only means Play Protect has not seen an app from this developer before. Tap Install anyway to continue the install. If you tap OK instead, the install is cancelled and nothing is installed.
Open the app
When the screen says App installed, tap Open. The Shinigami icon is now also on your phone, so from now on you can open the app from there like any other app.
Start reading
The app opens the Shinigami ID library. Use Home for new updates, Explore and All Series to find a title, and Library for your reading list. You do not need an account and you do not need to log in to start reading.
Problems and Fixes
App not installed error: an older copy of the app is already on the phone and its signature does not match the new file. Uninstall the old Shinigami app first, then install the downloaded file again. Your account on the reader site is not affected, because reading does not need a login.
The download does not start: check your connection and tap the Download APK button again. Also make sure the browser is allowed to save files on the phone.
The install is blocked by settings: open Settings, then Apps, then Special app access, then Install unknown apps. Pick your browser and turn on Allow from this source. Go back to the Downloads folder and tap the file again.
The Play Protect message keeps coming back: that can happen when the install was cancelled with OK. Start again from the Downloads folder and choose Install anyway this time.
That is all. Once the app is installed you never repeat these steps. Keep the Shinigami icon on your home screen and open it any time a new chapter comes out.
